Cafe Junkyard (@cafe_junkyard), a newbie cafe located at Lord's More (Near South City Mall) opposite Bandhan Bank Entrance. Address: 188/79 Prince Anwar Shah Road, Lake Gardens, Kolkata: 700045 Hope the name has already given you an idea about the concept of the cafe. Yes the interior is totally decorated with old Scraps that we can find in Junkyards. The tables are made from old metal trunks and rims of old cars. The chairs are old style foldable chairs. On the walls hang old cycle rims, old car parts, old school umbrella holders and number plates of cars. Lit with tungsten light, the dim ambiance give you a great feeling. From 16th August they have started to serve. Initially they have started with two rooms and a low sitting smoking cum food lounge. They have already taken an extended part which was a boutique earlier and hope to start serving there before the Durga Pujas . All the decoration are done by the owner, Mr. Rahul Parekh himself. The simple but funky junky look gives you a ADDA PLACE feeling. A best place for college student not only for its vibrant feeling but also for the Pocket Friendly Quality food. Yesterday I gave a visit to the cafe with some of my friends. We orderd Pina Colada BBQ GRILLED Sandwich Junkyard Special Burger Peri peri nonveg pizza Chicken Popcorn Brownie with Ice cream The food was delicious. I would like to ask all my friends to go and visit the place once. I am sure everyone will like the place and most importantly the food. And all the best for this new venture.

Last weekend me and my friends decided to meet after a very long time. We were trying to find a chill and cozy place where we can spend quality time. Finally we found this hidden gem in the town. “Cafe Junkyard”. Location: 188/79, Prince Anwar Shah Rd, opposite Bandhan Bank Entrance, Lake Gardens, Jodhpur Colony, Lake Gardens, Kolkata, West Bengal 700045 Ambience: The main attraction of this cafe is it’s Ambience. As the name suggests this little cafe is very nicely decorated by recycling the junkyard scarps. Truck tires and old metal trunks are converted into tables. Cycle rims, old car number plates and parts are hanging in the walls. Interior lightings are done with dim tungsten lights which makes the environment absolutely magical. As of now it has 3 rooms. 2 are fully AC rooms and one is kept for smoking cum food with comfy low sitting arrangement. They already have plan to expand the space further before this Durga puja. During this WFH era, this cafe can be very well utilised as a co-working space also with delicious food facility. Food: If not the ambience then definitely taste is the best part of this cafe. This cafe servers all kinds of yummy snacks, drinks, salads, deserts etc. We had ordered – • Pina Colada • Chicken popcorn • Peri peri non-veg pizza • Junkyard special burger • BBQ grilled sandwich • Brownie with ice-cream Along with these I would suggest to try different kind of omelettes which are special items of this cafe. Service: Service was very prompt and minimal wait time. I personally liked the owner of the cafe, Mr. Rahul Parekh. He’s a gem of a person. Cost: I felt cost of all the dishes are very pocket friendly and range between 30 to 300. Lastly, I would say it’s a paradise for instagrammers and foodies. Just visit Cafe Junkyard once and I am sure you will fall in love with this place. Cheers!

A very innovative and cosy cafe to begin with...the seating arrangements are really nice...They have an outdoor as well as indoor space so that we smokers can enjoy our chai to our hearts plight...The staff is really nice and accomodating....they will treat you with utmost politeness and ofcourse very friendly...The food is good too, specially the Ginger tea which will give you a much needed refreshment after a long hauling day's work..

Pocket friendly cafe with indoor games like carrom, chess, dart boards etc. Staff behaviours are nice and good ambience. Located near Lord's Mor.
